"A (anonymous)"
Shot in 2004 and 2005 by Dan Bowers, this mockumentary examines the
lives of a variety of troubled folks, coming together for a little sensitive,
healing time together. I play a gas huffer, naturally.
"The Bunglers"
Shot in 2003 and 2004, "The Bunglers" is a cross-city crime romp, in the
spirit of capers like "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels." In the independent
film, I portray boozy sidekick "Michael," a scotch-drinking wisecracker and
hanger-on.
"Hooch & Daddy-O"
Cast again as a "Mike," I play a uber-geek fan of the title characters of
this film, earning a robust four lines in the process of two great days of
shooting. Debuted in 2004 and looking for wider release in 2005.
"Insurance Xpress"
Like most residents of South St. Louis, I'm cast in an Insurance Xpress
ad, shot on the quick in front of the St. Louis Art Museum. My lines:
"Insurance Xpress! Pyawng!"
"Sandwiches That You Will Like"
A PBS production shown nationally during early 2003, "Sandwiches That You
Will Like" features St. Louis for the St. Paul sandwich, plus quick side trips
for brain sandwiches, snoots and pig's ears. My friend Kurt Groetsch and I
served as interview subjects, location scouts and navigators for the Pittsburgh
TV crew, including ace producer Rick Sebak.
"STL2000"
During the year 2000, local musician Matt Meyer (of the fantastic Ded Bugs)
taped dozens of hours of live footage and interviews, chronicling the punk scene
in St. Louis, from one New Year's Eve to the next. I'm featured as an interview
subject in the film, doing one of my favorite things: waxing nostalgic about St.
Louis bands (and the club scene) of the 1980s. A really fun video.
